Caravedo
Acholado
An award-winning expression of Peru’s classic acholado style, Caravedo Acholado is sustainably harvested and hand-crafted at Destilería La Caravedo Est. 1684, the oldest working distillery in the Americas.
Method of Production: Single-distilled to 40% ABV (80 proof), each 750ml bottle requires approximately 3 kilos (7 lbs.) of a blend of Quebranta and Torontel grapes. Distilled from 100% fully fermented grape juice (pure wine—never pomace) and rested for a minimum of nine months—four months for each varietal, followed by an additional five months after assemblage. Crafted with no additives of any kind: no color, no water, no sugar, no wood flavoring. Distillation takes place in both traditional falca stills and alambique copper pot stills.
